• HISTORY - Don Saturnino Martínez was born in 1903 in Soria, a Spanish city located east of the autonomous community of Castilla. At the age of 53, he arrived in Argentina with his family and soon opened a baking business in Liniers. Their biscuits became so famous that because of this product they decided to open a company in Ramos Mejía that was dedicated exclusively to the manufacture of fat biscuits under the name of Don Satur SA. Saturnino's face became an emblem of the brand and today his slogan names him as 'the hero of the sponge cake'.
